1) Psalms 106, 107
Ps 106,107
PSALMS 106
1Ch 16:34-36
1 Praise the Lord!
Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good,
for His mercy endures forever.
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Who can recount the mighty acts of the Lord
or declare all His praise?
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Blessed are those who keep justice
and who do righteousness at all times.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Remember me, O Lord, when
You give favor to Your people;
visit me with Your deliverance,
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) that I may see the goodness over Your chosen ones,
that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation,
that I may glory with Your inheritance.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-) We have sinned with our fathers;
we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Our fathers did not consider
Your wonders in Egypt;
they did not remember the greatness of Your mercy,
but rebelled against Him at the sea, by the Red Sea.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake,
that He might make His mighty power known.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) He rebuked the Red Sea, and it was driedup,
so He led them through the depths as through the wilderness.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) He saved them from the hand of him who hated them
and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) The waters covered their enemies;
there was not one of them left.
12 Then they believed His words;
they sang His praise.
13 But they soon forgot His works;
they did not wait for His counsel,
14 but they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness
and tested God in the desert.
15 He gave them their request,
but He sent a wasting disease on them.
16 They envied in the camp Moses
and Aaron, the holy priest of the Lord.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan
and engulfed those led by Abiram.
18 A fire broke out among their company;
the flame burned up the wicked.
19 They made a calf at Horeb,
and worshipped the molded image.
20 Thus they changed the glory of God
for the image of an ox that eats grass.
21 They forgot God, their Deliverer,
who had done great things in Egypt,
22 wondrous works in the land of Ham,
and marvelous deeds by the Red Sea.
23 Therefore He said that He would destroy them,
had not Moses, His chosen one,
stood before Him to intercede,
to turn away His wrath from destroying them.
24 Then they despised the pleasant land;
they did not believe His promise,
25 but they grumbled in their tents,
and did not listen to the voice of the Lord.
26 Therefore He lifted up His hand against them
and swore to overthrow them in the wilderness,
27 and to overthrow their offspring among the nations,
and to scatter them in the lands.
28 They joined themselves to Baal of Peor
and ate the sacrifices given for the dead.
29 Thus they provoked Him to anger with their acts,
and a plague broke out upon them.
30 Then Phinehas stood up and interceded,
and so the plague ceased.
31 That was counted unto him for righteousness
unto all generations forever.
32 They angered Him also at the waters of Meribah,
so that Moses suffered because of them,
33 because they provoked his temper,
so that he spoke impulsively with his lips.
34 They did not destroy the nations
as the Lord commanded them,
35 but they mixed among the nations
and learned their deeds;
36 they served their idols,
which were a snare to them.
37 Yes, they sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to demons,
38 and poured out innocent blood,
even the blood of their sons and of their daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled by their acts
and acted like whores with these actions.
40 Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people,
and He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 He gave them into the hand of the nations,
and those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them,
and Israel was brought into subjection under their powerful hand.
43 Many times He delivered them,
but they were rebellious against Him with their counsel,
and were afflicted for their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless, He regarded their affliction,
when He heard their cry:
45 and He remembered on their behalf His covenant
and relented according to the greatness of His mercies.
46 He made them pitied
among all those who held them captive.
47 Save us, O Lord our God,
and gather us from among the nations,
to give thanks unto Your holy name
and to boast in Your praise.
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting,
and let all the people say, "Amen!"
Praise the Lord!
Psalm 106
[1] Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his
mercy endureth for ever.
[2] Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his
praise?
[3] Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at
all times.
[4] Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people:
O visit me with thy salvation;
[5] That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the
gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
[6] We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have
done wickedly.
[7] Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the
multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
[8] Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his
mighty power to be known.
[9] He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through
the depths, as through the wilderness.
[10] And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed
them from the hand of the enemy.
[11] And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.
[12] Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
[13] They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
[14] But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the
desert.
[15] And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
[16] They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.
[17] The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of
Abiram.
[18] And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the
wicked.
[19] They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
[20] Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth
grass.
[21] They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
[22] Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
[23] Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen
stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should
destroy them.
[24] Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
[25] But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the
LORD.
[26] Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the
wilderness:
[27] To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in
the lands.
[28] They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of
the dead.
[29] Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague
brake in upon them.
[30] Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was
stayed.
[31] And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations
for evermore.
[32] They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with
Moses for their sakes:
[33] Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with
his lips.
[34] They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded
them:
[35] But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
[36] And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
[37] Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
[38] And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their
daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was
polluted with blood.
[39] Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with
their own inventions.
[40] Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people,
insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
[41] And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them
ruled over them.
[42] Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into
subjection under their hand.
[43] Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their
counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
[44] Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
[45] And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the
multitude of his mercies.
[46] He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them
captives.
[47] Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give
thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
[48] Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and
let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.
PSALMS 107
1 Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good,
for His mercy endures forever!
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Let the redeemed of the Lord speak out,
whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) and gathered them from the lands,
from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) They wandered in the wilderness on a deserted path;
they found no city to dwell in.
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Hungry and thirsty,
their soul fainted in them.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble,
and He delivered them out of their distresses.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He led them on a level road,
that they might go to a city to live in.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Let them praise the Lord for His goodness
and for His wonderful works to the people!
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) For He satisfies the longing soul
and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Some sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
being prisoners in affliction and irons,
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) because they rebelled against the words of God
and rejected the counsel of the Most High.
12 Therefore He brought down their hearts with hard labor;
they fell down, and there was none to help.
13 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble,
and He delivered them out of their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death
and broke apart their bonds.
15 Let them praise the Lord for His goodness
and for His wonderful works to the people!
16 For He has broken the gates of bronze
and cut the bars of iron in two.
17 Some were fools because of their transgressions,
and because of their iniquities they are afflicted.
18 They loathed all manner of food,
and they drew near to the gates of death.
19 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble,
and He saved them out of their distress.
20 He sent His word and healed them
and delivered them from their destruction.
21 Let them praise the Lord for His goodness
and for His wonderful works to the people!
22 And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving
and declare His works with rejoicing.
23 Some went down to the sea in ships,
to do business in the vast waters;
24 they saw the works of the Lord
and His wonders in the deep water.
25 For He commands and raises the stormy wind,
which lifts up the sea waves.
26 The sailors went up to the sky, they came down to the depths;
their strength melted because of the great danger.
27 They reeled to and fro and staggered like drunken men,
and were completely confused.
28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
and He saved them out of their distress.
29 He made the storm calm,
and the sea waves were still.
30 They were glad because the waters were quiet,
so He brought them to their desired harbor.
31 Let them praise the Lord for His goodness
and for His wonderful works to the people!
32 Let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people,
and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
33 He turns rivers into a desert,
water springs into dry ground,
34 a fruitful land into salty wasteland,
because of the wickedness of those living there.
35 He turns a wilderness into pools of water,
a parched ground into springs of water.
36 There He makes the hungry dwell,
and they prepare a city to live in;
37 they sow fields and plant vineyards,
and yield a fruitful harvest.
38 He blesses them, so that they are greatly multiplied,
and He does not let their livestock decrease.
39 But when they are diminished and brought down
through oppression, affliction, and sorrow,
40 He pours contempt upon princes,
and causes them to wander in a wilderness with no road;
41 yet He raises up the poor from affliction
and cares for their families like flocks of sheep.
42 The righteous shall see it and rejoice,
and all evil people shall stop their mouth.
43 Whoever is wise let him observe these things;
let them consider the lovingkindness of the Lord
Psalms 107
[1] O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for
ever.
[2] Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the
hand of the enemy;
[3] And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west,
from the north, and from the south.
[4] They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no
city to dwell in.
[5] Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
[6] Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them
out of their distresses.
[7] And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of
habitation.
[8] Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his
wonderful works to the children of men!
[9] For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with
goodness.
[10] Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in
affliction and iron;
[11] Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the
counsel of the most High:
[12] Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and
there was none to help.
[13] Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out
of their distresses.
[14] He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake
their bands in sunder.
[15] Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his
wonderful works to the children of men!
[16] For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in
sunder.
[17] Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities,
are afflicted.
[18] Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the
gates of death.
[19] Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them
out of their distresses.
[20] He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their
destructions.
[21] Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his
wonderful works to the children of men!
[22] And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his
works with rejoicing.
[23] They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great
waters;
[24] These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
[25] For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the
waves thereof.
[26] They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their
soul is melted because of trouble.
[27] They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their
wits' end.
[28] Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out
of their distresses.
[29] He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
[30] Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto
their desired haven.
[31] Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his
wonderful works to the children of men!
[32] Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise
him in the assembly of the elders.
[33] He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry
ground;
[34] A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell
therein.
[35] He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into
watersprings.
[36] And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city
for habitation;
[37] And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of
increase.
[38] He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and
suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
[39] Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression,
affliction, and sorrow.
[40] He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the
wilderness, where there is no way.
[41] Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him
families like a flock.
[42] The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop
her mouth.
[43] Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall
understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
2) Our Daily Bread for 1 May 2024 Titled
The Authority of Jesus
Matthew 28:16-20
The Commissioning of the Disciples
Mk 16:14-18; Lk 24:36-49; Jn 20:19-23; Ac 1:6-8
16 (Mt 28:7; 26:32) Then the eleven disciples went away to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.
17 (Mt 28:9) When they saw Him, they worshipped Him. But some doubted.
18 (Mt 11:27; Ro 14:9) Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 (Mk 16:15-16; Ac 1:8) Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 (Mt 18:20; Ac 2:42) teaching them to observe all things I have commanded
you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
[16] Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where
Jesus had appointed them.
[17] And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me
in heaven and in earth.
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
[20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Even after Jesus had set my son Geoff free from years of substance abuse,
I still had worries. We'd been through much together and my focus sometimes
remained on his difficult past instead of the future God had for him.
Parents of addicts often worry about relapse, and one day at a family
gathering, I pulled Geoff aside. "Remember," I told him, "we have
an adversary, and he's powerful." "I know, Dad," he responded.
"He has power, but he has no authority."
In that moment, I was reminded of Jesus' incomparable authority
to rescue us from our sins and transform our lives as we look to Him.
Immediately I thought of His words to the disciples shortly
before He returned to His Father in heaven:
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go . . ." (Matthew 28:18-19).
The crucified and risen Jesus has made a way for us to come to
Him no matter what our past may be. He holds both our past
and our future. Because He's promised to be with us always (v. 20),
we can be assured that He'll accomplish His purposes and that our
lives are in His unfailing hands. Jesus gives us unparalleled hope,
a hope so good we can't keep it to ourselves. The devil
and the world may have some power for a little while,
but "all authority" belongs to Jesus forever.

Week 1 Knowing God's Word Day 4 - Arming for Battle
Joshua 1:8
8 (Ps 19:14; 119:15) This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth.
Meditate on it day and night so that you may act carefully according
to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way successful,
and you will be wise.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt
meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according
to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
and then thou shalt have good success.
When God spoke these words to Joshua, the young leader's prospects for
"prosperity" and "success" were far from promising. Upon Moses' death,
Joshua was appointed to lead Israel into the Promised Land, to claim
the territory and establish a nation under God's rule.
Joshua was afraid, and for good reason. The people were rebellious
and intractable. And "claiming the land" meant battling many strong enemies.
Yet God told Joshua that his strength would come not in preparing for battle,
but in preparing for battle, but in preparing himself by meditating
on and applying God's word to his life.
We, too, face difficult battles as we seek to enter the "Promised Land"
of God's peace and presence. But his promise is the same as it was to Joshua:
through obedience to the Word, we can find prosperity and success.
God's promise does not necessarily mean financial prosperity
or material success. These victories may come as well, but God's primary
purpose for his people is spiritual success - the victory and joy of living
in fellowship with him. We can be enriched in the knowledge of God and
find power to overcome the enemies of sin and self. The way may not be easy
- after all, there is no victory without conflict - but God promises
that we will succeed as we look to him.
Application
a) What image do I have a personal "Promised Land" that I long
to enter and claim as my own?
b) What enemies will I need to battle in order to enter that land?
c) How can meditation on the Word of God and obedience to him bring me
prosperity and success?
4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland
Gen 26:12-14
12 (Ge 26:3; 24:1) Then Isaac sowed in that land
and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; the Lord blessed him.
13 The man became rich and continued to prosper until he became very wealthy.
14 (Ge 37:11; Ecc 4:4) For he had possessions of flocks and herds
and a great number of servants so that the Philistines envied him.
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year
an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward,
and grew until he became very great:
14 for he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds,
and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:
God's Unfailing Love
Ps 36:5-9
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens,
and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Your righteousness is like the great mountains,
Your judgments like the great deep; O Lord, You preserve man and beast.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) How excellent is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore mankind seeks refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) They will drink their fill
from the abundance of Your house,
and You will cause them to drink from the river of Your pleasures.
9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) For with You is the fountain of life;
in Your light we see light.
5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;
And thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains;
Thy judgments are a great deep:
O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house;
And thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
9 For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light.
Remember God's promises when You pray
The Lord's prayer
Matthew 6:9-13
9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that
the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most
Muslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching
from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly
resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontario. Mosques
are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools
are starting.
And they're not complacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their
advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,
the local mosque distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour
brochures on Islam. An that mosque's Facebook page proudly show pictures of
"reverts", or white Canadians who have converted to Islam as a result of
receiving the flier and engaging with the mosque community. Another town
reports Muslims going door-to-door evangelism.
Agree in prayer for:
- net network leaders - the need is great
- the development of network leadership teams
- good connectiosn with local pastors, congregations and individuals
whom God is calling into this ministry.
- wisdom facilitating outreach and training activities for mobilising
believers
- new full and part-time workers among Muslims throughout all these areas
- for pastors and churches to respond not in fear, but full of faith and love
towards Muslims, sharing Jesus with them.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.
- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.
Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the
house."
Ideas for prayer
- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
And
Thank you for praying through the
5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.
"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,
I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to
cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.
Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians
and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the
love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.
One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by
light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.
As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and
confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution
to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.
Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.
Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father
to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.
I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs.
God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through
the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom
and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."
13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy

ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Remember me, O Lord, when
You give favor to Your people;
visit me with Your deliverance,
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) that I may see the goodness over Your chosen ones,
that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation,
that I may glory with Your inheritance.
6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-) We have sinned with our fathers;
we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.
7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Our fathers did not consider
Your wonders in Egypt;
they did not remember the greatness of Your mercy,
but rebelled against Him at the sea, by the Red Sea.
11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) The waters covered their enemies;
there was not one of them left.
12 Then they believed His words;
they sang His praise.
13 But they soon forgot His works;
they did not wait for His counsel,
14 but they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness
and tested God in the desert.
15 He gave them their request,
but He sent a wasting disease on them.
16 They envied in the camp Moses
and Aaron, the holy priest of the Lord.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan
and engulfed those led by Abiram.
18 A fire broke out among their company;
the flame burned up the wicked.
19 They made a calf at Horeb,
and worshipped the molded image.
20 Thus they changed the glory of God
for the image of an ox that eats grass.
21 They forgot God, their Deliverer,
who had done great things in Egypt,
22 wondrous works in the land of Ham,
and marvelous deeds by the Red Sea.
23 Therefore He said that He would destroy them,
had not Moses, His chosen one,
stood before Him to intercede,
to turn away His wrath from destroying them.
24 Then they despised the pleasant land;
they did not believe His promise,
25 but they grumbled in their tents,
and did not listen to the voice of the Lord.
34 They did not destroy the nations
as the Lord commanded them,
35 but they mixed among the nations
and learned their deeds;
36 they served their idols,
which were a snare to them.
37 Yes, they sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to demons,
38 and poured out innocent blood,
even the blood of their sons and of their daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled by their acts
and acted like whores with these actions.
40 Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people,
and He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 He gave them into the hand of the nations,
and those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them,
and Israel was brought into subjection under their powerful hand.
43 Many times He delivered them,
but they were rebellious against Him with their counsel,
and were afflicted for their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless, He regarded their affliction,
when He heard their cry:
45 and He remembered on their behalf His covenant
and relented according to the greatness of His mercies.
46 He made them pitied
among all those who held them captive.
47 Save us, O Lord our God,
and gather us from among the nations,
to give thanks unto Your holy name
and to boast in Your praise.
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting,
and let all the people say, "Amen!"
Praise the Lord!
Psalm 106
[1] Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his
mercy endureth for ever.
[2] Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his
praise?
[3] Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at
all times.
[4] Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people:
O visit me with thy salvation;
[20] Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth
grass.
[21] They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) They wandered in the wilderness on a deserted path;
they found no city to dwell in.
12 Therefore He brought down their hearts with hard labor;
they fell down, and there was none to help.
23 Some went down to the sea in ships,
to do business in the vast waters;
24 they saw the works of the Lord
and His wonders in the deep water.
25 For He commands and raises the stormy wind,
which lifts up the sea waves.
26 The sailors went up to the sky, they came down to the depths;
their strength melted because of the great danger.
36 There He makes the hungry dwell,
and they prepare a city to live in;
37 they sow fields and plant vineyards,
and yield a fruitful harvest.
38 He blesses them, so that they are greatly multiplied,
and He does not let their livestock decrease.
39 But when they are diminished and brought down
through oppression, affliction, and sorrow,
40 He pours contempt upon princes,
and causes them to wander in a wilderness with no road;
41 yet He raises up the poor from affliction
and cares for their families like flocks of sheep.
42 The righteous shall see it and rejoice,
and all evil people shall stop their mouth.
43 Whoever is wise let him observe these things;
let them consider the lovingkindness of the Lord
Psalms 107
[1] O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for
ever.
[2] Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the
hand of the enemy;
[9] For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with
goodness.
[10] Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in
affliction and iron;
[23] They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great
waters;
[33] He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry
ground;
[34] A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell
therein.
[35] He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into
watersprings.
[36] And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city
for habitation;

9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) For with You is the fountain of life;
in Your light we see light.
5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;
And thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains;
Thy judgments are a great deep:
O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house;
And thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
9 For with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light.
Remember God's promises when You pray
The Lord's prayer
Matthew 6:9-13
9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Amen.

Ontario
Quick facts on Muslims in Ontario
Ontario 2015 population 13 687 7000
est Muslim Population 1 001 542
CNMM Networks: Ottawa, Durham, York, Toronto, Mississauga, Halton, Hamilton,
Niagara, Kitchener, London, Windsor

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020
Under the Keep Praying page
Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]
Footnotes
13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy
and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
[13] Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that
ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
